Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will involve us getting to know each other and me learning what your basketball goals are. From there I’ll perform an assessment to see where the player is at skill wise and their current level of athleticism.
Lesson 11+The athletes will be introduced to more advanced plyometric exercises further improving or enhancing their athleticism. Drills will go from understanding the fundamentals to game like situations.
Lesson 4-10Still placing an emphasis on the fundamentals of the game but ramping up intensity of the drills.
Lesson 2-3After the first lesson I’ll introduce to player to dynamic stretching and plyometric drills that not only will help improve or enhance their athleticism but also cut down their risk of injury. We will then go through ball handling drills and shooting technique.
Youth players
Working with kidsHaving years of experience working with kids at basketball camps I’m able to explain the fundamentals of the game in a way that they understand but is also fun to them as well. I’ve learned that when you make the learning/training session fun as well as informative the player’s development will make significant progress.
Working with teenagersHaving played varsity basketball in high school then on to playing at the NCAA Division 2 level I’m able to explain to them what is expected of them to be successful. With my teenage clients I treat the sessions as if it was a college training session.
