The first session focuses on evaluating the athlete’s current skill level, including ball handling, shooting, finishing, footwork, passing, and overall athletic movement. We establish strengths, weaknesses, goals, and areas that need the most attention. The session also introduces foundational drills and terminology that will be used throughout the training program. The goal is to create a baseline and establish an individualized development plan.
Lessons 2–3 focus on strengthening fundamental skills and correcting technical weaknesses identified during the evaluation. Training emphasizes proper footwork, ball-handling mechanics, shooting form, finishing technique, and basic decision-making. Drills progress from controlled repetitions to movement-based and game-speed situations. The goal is to build consistency, confidence, and proper technique before increasing difficulty.
Lessons 4–10 transition into more advanced, position-specific skill work and game-like situations. Players work on creating separation, attacking different defensive coverages, finishing through contact, shooting off the catch and dribble, and making reads under pressure. Each session increases intensity and decision-making demands while continuing to reinforce fundamentals. The goal is to transfer individual skills into realistic game situations.
Beginning with Lesson 11, training becomes increasingly individualized based on the athlete’s position, playing style, goals, and ongoing evaluation. Sessions focus on advanced reads, situational basketball, competitive drills, and developing the specific skills needed to maximize game impact. Training continues to challenge the athlete with increased pace, pressure, and game-specific decision-making. Progress is continually evaluated and the program is adjusted as the athlete develops.
