Beginner training plan
Your first lessonBasketball introduction/ basic fundamentals: introducing the player to the sport and playing games to learn the rules, essential principles and gain some insight into players skill level.
Lesson 11+Skills review: go over what skills are learned and continue to develop skills that are valuable and relevant to games. Focus on skills that are not as strong to build upon.
Lesson 4-10Offensive and defensive essentials: activities that will allow the player to learn what is expected during any given period of play.
Lesson 2-3Passing, shooting, ball control skills: learn proper technique and practice on gaining knowledge of correct form using games and activities.
