About your basketball coach

I’m a basketball trainer who believes strong relationships and real development go hand in hand. I coach in a supportive, encouraging way — but I’m also firm when standards aren’t met, because growth requires accountability. Too many young athletes struggle with fundamentals, listening, and understanding the game at a level they should already know. My focus is fixing those gaps. I teach athletes how to do things the right way, why they matter, and how to carry those habits onto the court and into life. I work with elementary through high school athletes, emphasizing fundamentals, decision-making, effort, and confidence. Every athlete is coached with intention, honesty, and care — not shortcuts or hype. Basketball is just the starting point. My long-term goal is to build a complete training environment that supports youth development across multiple sports, creating a place where athletes are developed the right way from the ground up.

Beginner training plan
Your first trainingThe first lesson is about getting comfortable. I want to see how the athlete moves, how they handle the ball, how they listen, and how they respond to coaching. We keep things simple, move at their pace, and make sure they feel confident from the start. There’s no pressure — just learning where they’re at and building a foundation to grow from.
Training 2-3This is where things start to settle in. We reinforce the basics from the first session and start creating routine. Athletes get more comfortable with the basketball, learn what’s expected, and begin understanding how to listen, focus, and apply corrections. The goal here is consistency — doing simple things the right way and building confidence through repetition.
Training 4-10This is where real development starts to show. We continue building fundamentals while gradually increasing the challenge. Dribbling, shooting, passing, footwork, and decision-making all improve as athletes become more confident and intentional with their work. At this stage, I’m coaching more, correcting more, and pushing athletes in a supportive way so habits start to form.
Training 11+Now we’re focused on translating skills to the game. Training becomes more detailed and game-like. We work on reading situations, making better decisions, and applying skills under pressure. Athletes are challenged at a higher level, but always supported. This is where confidence, discipline, and understanding really come together. Real Growth can start to take place because they have something to tie to it from their own experience.

Advanced training plan
Your first trainingThe first session is about understanding the athlete at a deeper level. I’m looking at skill level, pace, decision-making, effort, and how they respond to coaching. We’ll touch on ball handling, shooting, and game situations to see what already works and what needs attention. This session helps set expectations and gives the athlete a clear direction moving forward.
Training 2-3Now we start dialing things in. We clean up fundamentals, tighten footwork, and start focusing on details that often get overlooked. Athletes begin learning how to train with purpose, not just go through drills. The focus is on consistency, discipline, and doing things the right way every rep.
Training 4-10This is where real progress starts to show. Training becomes more intense and game-like. We work on creating shots, finishing through contact, defending with effort, and making better decisions under pressure. Athletes are challenged mentally and physically while still being coached and supported. This is where confidence and trust in their game grow.
Training 11+Now it’s about separation. We focus on sharpening strengths, addressing weaknesses, and making sure skills translate directly to game situations. Sessions are competitive, intentional, and detailed. The goal is to help athletes play faster, think better, and compete with confidence — not just look good in workouts.
