About your basketball coach

I bring a championship mindset and years of on-court experience to every athlete I train. As a former collegiate standout and professional player, I was a 2x PCAC Player of the Year, 2x All-State performer, and helped lead Southwestern College to a state-best 50–6 record before earning a scholarship to Cal Baptist. There, I helped capture a PacWest Championship and an NCAA Tournament berth. After competing professionally in Colombia and earning my Master’s in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific, I began my coaching career at Southwestern College. During my time there, I helped lead the program to three PCAC Championships, was named PCAC Coach of the Year in 2020, and coached 40 All-Conference players, with over 30 earning scholarships to four-year universities—including multiple Division I and professional athletes. Now, I use that same drive and attention to detail to help players and clients elevate their game, build confidence, and unlock their full potential—both physically and mentally.

Coach Ant is hands down one of the best trainers our child has worked with. He’s extremely knowledgeable, patient, and detailed in his teaching. We’ve seen major growth in confidence, fundamentals, and especially shooting.

Coach Anthony has taken my son’s game to another level this summer. His workouts are purposeful, detailed, and tailored to what my son needs. Anthony brings real coaching experience and it shows.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first session is all about getting a clear read on the athlete. I’ll evaluate footwork, shooting mechanics, ball-handling, balance and overall coordination. I’ll walk them through fundamental drills at a steady pace so I can see how they move, think and adjust. This session establishes a baseline so the athlete knows what to expect moving forward.
Lesson 11+By this stage, the athlete is training like a serious player. Sessions shift toward high-intensity skill development, situational breakdowns and college-level standards of execution. We’ll track progress, set clear performance goals and tailor every workout to the athlete’s strengths and weaknesses. The focus becomes mastery, competitiveness and preparing them to stand out in real game environments.
Lesson 4-10This is where real development kicks in. Sessions will become faster, more competitive and more game-specific. We’ll work on advanced footwork, finishing options, shooting off movement, reads out of ball screens and decision-making under pressure. Each workout will build on the last, pushing the athlete physically and mentally. Expect measurable improvement in consistency, conditioning, and overall basketball IQ
Lesson 2-3These lessons focus on tightening the foundation. We’ll reinforce proper mechanics, introduce structured ball-handling progressions and start working on pace and body control. The athlete can expect detailed coaching and drills designed to build confidence through repetition.

Youth players
Working with kidsAs an experienced youth development coach, I have over 15 years of experience training young athletes and directing youth basketball camps. My sessions focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, coordination, and early game understanding in a way that keeps younger players engaged and excited to learn. Training is structured, positive, and tailored to their stage of development for noticeable results.

Working with teenagersWith 10+ years of college coaching experience, I know what it takes for athletes to reach that level. I work closely with teens to refine their fundamentals, sharpen their decision making, and build the competitive habits needed to stand out. These sessions contain setting clear tangible goals to work toward, bringing purpose to every workout. Training is challenging and built around real development targets.

What you need to bringJust a basketball if you have one.

What I can bringI can provide the basketball if needed and other training equipment.
