About your basketball coach
I am currently the head girl’s basketball coach at Hickory Middle School. I have also coached at Virginia State University, and Mary Baldwin University. I also have experience coaching various AAU, high school, and travel teams. I was afforded the opportunity to play Division 1 basketball as well.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe lesson will start with a warm up, then basic ball handling and shooting drills, so I can see where the athlete is at skill wise, and we can build from there
Lesson 11+Continue to grow and build with each other. Individual training means you want to take basketball to the highest level. Your dreams are my dreams, and we can do it together.
Lesson 4-10Continue to take a little step forward each session. We will recognize the things we need to get better at, but also celebrate the accomplishments we’ve made, no matter how small they may seem
Lesson 2-3We will slowly build their skills. I will have the athlete step a little outside their comfort zone. The only way to get better is to try something new.
Youth players
Working with kidsI am a middle school teacher and head basketball coach. I love working with kids. They are our future! I lean just as much from them as they learn from me.
Working with teenagersI have also been a high school and college basketball coach. Your goals are my goals. Whatever level you strive to play on we can do it, or at least get close. One my favorite quotes is “shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land amongst the stars “
