Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLesson #1 always includes a preliminary assessment of the athlete in order to understand biological movements/adherences, strengths, weaknesses, etc. most of this lesson will be to gather information on what steps will need to be taken to ensure I can formulate a plan of action for your player’s improvement.
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 are continuations of previous lessons with introduction to sharpening infield skills such as, footwork efficiency, glove work, double play execution, throwing routes, etc.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2-3 will be to address all information/data taken from lesson #1. We will go over what needs to be taken seriously, what needs to be improved, how we are going to do it, and what will happen next.
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen I work with kids, my #1 priority is to keep the game and the tasks at hand fun. It’s what the game is all about and I try to find ways to mix real fun with proper development. This helps to ensure young students of the game remain interested both from personal successes and visible growth patterns.
Working with teenagersWhen it comes to teenagers, I like to live under the assumption that most, if not all of them have decided baseball is something that would like to pursue and take more seriously. That being said, the challenge level/expectations are increased by a certain level. I provide more technical solutions to problems in certain skill levels that I assume teenagers to be able to grasp and put into their performance. Fun is still the main goal, but the attitude, effort, and coachability have a higher degree of standard.
