About your baseball coach

Baseball has been my passion for over 24 years, and I’ve dedicated my life to playing, training, and coaching at a high level. I’m a left-handed batter and right-handed thrower who specializes as an outfielder, with extensive experience in hitting, fielding, and overall player development. Playing Background • Covina High School – Four-year player competing at the varsity level • Citrus College – Earned my Associate’s Degree while continuing to play and develop my game • New Mexico Highlands University (NCAA DII) – Finished my collegiate baseball career competing against top talent in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference • Empire Professional Baseball League – Recently completed my first season, finishing with an impressive .380 batting average • Current Semi-Pro Player – Continuing to train and compete, with the goal of advancing to full professional baseball Experience & Coaching • 24 years of baseball experience across high school, collegiate, and professional development levels • Outfield specialist with strong emphasis on reads, routes, throwing mechanics, and defensive awareness • Hitting coach with proven results, focusing on timing, plate discipline, power generation, and consistency (as demonstrated by my .380 BA at the pro level) • Experienced mentoring players of all ages, from youth beginners to advanced athletes preparing for higher-level play Teaching Philosophy My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals while tailoring drills to each athlete’s skill level and goals. I believe in breaking the game down in a way that’s simple, repeatable, and effective—helping players not only perform better, but also understand the game at a higher level. My goal is for every student to leave a session more confident, more skilled, and more motivated than when they arrived. Why Work With Me As a semi-pro player who just completed a season in the Empire League with a .380 batting average, I bring both real-time player insight and years of coaching experience. I know firsthand the dedication it takes to succeed at every stage of baseball, and I’m here to help players sharpen their skills, build confidence, and fall in love with the game.

“Training with him was different — we’d just lock in and really break down the game together. It wasn’t like coach vs. player, it was two hitters pushing each other, comparing approaches, and refining our swings. He’s the type of guy who’s always studying the little details, whether it’s timing, pitch recognition, or just adjusting mechanics mid-session. The energy was always competitive but positive — like iron sharpening iron. I’ve trained with a lot of guys, but working with him definitely sharpened my game. He’s not only a hitter, he’s a student of the game, and that makes him dangerous at the plate.”
Andrew B(Balty)
“As a pitcher, I wanted to understand how hitters think, so I linked up with him during training. Working together gave me a whole new perspective — he’d break down what hitters look for in counts, what tips them off, and how timing plays into everything. It wasn’t just about swinging a bat, it was about the chess game between pitcher and hitter. Training with him made me sharper on the mound because I started seeing the game from the other side. He’s got a crazy baseball mind, and being around that helped me refine my approach and compete smarter.”
Gino
“Coach is honestly the best hitting coach I’ve had. He doesn’t just throw the same drills at you — he actually breaks it down so you understand why you’re doing it. My swing used to be all over the place, but after working with him I’m way more consistent at the plate. He’s also super chill, like you can tell he’s been there and done it at a high level (that grand slam at Highlands is legendary btw). Every session I felt like I was leveling up, and he never made me feel dumb for asking questions. If you’re tryna take your hitting serious, he’s the guy. For real.”
Lexi
“My daughter Lexi was only 7 when she worked with him at a clinic at Highlands, and it was such a positive experience. At that age it can be tough to keep kids focused, but he had the perfect mix of patience, energy, and fun that kept her engaged the whole time. He broke things down in a way she could actually understand, and by the end of the day she was more confident in her swing and couldn’t stop talking about how much fun she had. As a parent, it was awesome to see someone with his playing experience give back to the younger kids and inspire them. Lexi left that clinic saying, ‘Mom, I wanna play like him one day.’ That says it all.”
Jimmy J
“Been around him since Wreck League, and I can tell you he’s been locked in on baseball since day one. Watching him grow into the player he is now has been crazy — from backyard BP sessions to hitting bombs in college and now semi-pro. He’s always been the guy to push me to get better, whether we were lifting, hitting, or just talking the game. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because he still owes me a Gatorade from back in high school 😂. But for real, he’s the real deal — dedicated, competitive, and always finding ways to level up.”
