Beginner training plan
Your first lessonMy program in only 5 steps (We go through the program as needed and in the amount of sessions required):
STEP 1: I revise, analyze and study current playersâ skills, abilities and understanding of the game. Also, I analyze the playerâs mindset related to the game. This will reveal all important areas of improvement as a whole.
Lesson 4-10STEP 4: After I notice confidence is rising, I start to implement âmind exercisesâ to straighten the playerâs mindset using scenarios of disaster. This will help to anticipate, be relaxed and ready for any unexpected situations during the game. This is the area where most coaches fail to prepare the player. This game is won more effectively with the mind rather than skills.
STEP 5: After a few sessions, and when necessary, we repeat the process again from step 1 and until the player is ready. Practice and repetition is key for improvement.
My method is simple, easy to implement and improves all aspects of the player (body / mind / spirit).
Lesson 2-3STEP 2: After Iâve analyzed the player and areas of improvement, I create and structure a program tailored to develop areas of opportunity and polish current abilities. Always prioritizing simplicity. This way the player is able to process, understand and implement faster.
STEP 3: We execute training and drills to start gaining confidence with performance. Obtaining confidence is essential during this process. And shouldnât be overlooked during all sessions of training.
Youth players
Working with teenagersI think itâs important to push young players beyond their limits, strengthening their skills and confidence that will lead them eventually to play at a higher and competitive level. Itâs important to concentrate on developing not only skill-wise but also mentally and physically. I teach young players to be in control of their mind during moments of pressure in the game.
What you need to bringTheir own gear such as: baseball glove, bat, cleats, baseball uniform, etc. No need to bring Baseballs.
