Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe start with a complete pitching assessment to establish a baseline. I evaluate movement quality, mechanics, arm action, command and current velocity. We’ll introduce simple drills based on the athlete’s individual needs and establish 1–2 key priorities to work on between lessons.
Lesson 2-3LESSONS 2–3
We begin building better movement patterns based on the initial assessment. Sessions may include connection drills, lower-half sequencing, lead-leg blocking, arm-path work and command training. We’ll reinforce what works for the individual pitcher rather than forcing every athlete into the same mechanics.
Lesson 4-10We progressively develop the complete pitcher. Training advances into velocity development, command, pitch design, game situations and individualized mechanical work. Progress is continually evaluated so drills and goals can be adjusted as the athlete improves. The goal is long-term development—not just throwing harder, but becoming a healthier, more efficient and more effective pitcher.
Lesson 11+Advanced training becomes increasingly individualized based on the pitcher’s goals and progress. We continue developing velocity, command, pitch design, mechanics and game strategy while tracking progress over time. Training evolves with the athlete to address new needs, prepare for competition and build a complete, confident pitcher.
