The first lesson is an evaluation of the players skills. Setting the bar so we know where to start from. Players will run the bases, field grounders, field popflies, and have their arm strength tested from various diatances.
These lessons will be built on the developed fundamentals and then adding in Baseball IQ. Knowing the game and how to handle each situation they might encounter as well as working on 2 primary positions one outfield position and one infield position. All players will be taught to be utility players so they can be a help to their teams.
In these lessons students will take what they have learned and begin to advance to higher skills. Working through cone drills, a fundamental hitting drills based around the tee, and soft toss. Main foxus during this time frame is making sure the player has the right stance, right footwork, and right throwing mechanics.
In these lesson, we start with the basics, learning to field with out a glove, then advancing to a pancake glove. The purpose of this is to build a solid foundation.
