Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will be me taking in information on the player, and pointing out what we need to work on the most. I will have the player go through some throwing drills to see what they do well and what they don’t.
Lesson 11+After we fix these problems, we will move on to fine tuning these players skills. Although we will implement that throughout all lessons, we will put more of an emphasis on pitch design and selection, making them the most well rounded player they can be.
Lesson 4-10Once I give my player the drills and explain why we’re doing them, we will continue focusing on these concepts, while doing frequent videoing to see the progress the player is making.
Lesson 2-3After the on ramping lesson, where I am able to gather information on the player, I will begin to show the player the drills best suited to fix their lowest hanging fruit. For example if a player struggles to stay in the back hip when throwing, I will give them a few throwing drills to help them correct this over time.
