Your first lessonThe most important first step is establishing a rapport with the artist is to discover their unique creative objectives and set up a purposeful lesson plan.
Lesson 11+It's important to have a diverse audition repertoire as students might be auditioning for their first school production or moving into more professional and varied landscapes.
Lesson 4-10I recommend artistic collaboration with other creatives and in person or digital performance opportunities as per the student's interest.
Lesson 2-3We will begin to identify some of the acting styles that my artist might prefer. Whether utilizing Stanislavski, Meisner or Viewpoints, there are many styles to employ in our artistic pursuits.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAdvanced performers often have a varied list of talents they may want to hone or craft for upcoming auditions. Whether interested in nuancing their recent commercial audition or preparing a Shakespearean monologue, the sky is the limit!
Lesson 11+One of the things I like best about one-on-one sessions is the ability to tailor our focus to the needs of the individual. Whether prepping for an important college audition or honing your professional audition repertoire; Music4Me Studios is for you!
Lesson 4-10I recommend creative collaboration with other artists as well as establishing a social media presence. It's important to utilize online audition resources and any agencies the performer might be a part of.
Lesson 2-3It is important to identify the relative strengths and weaknesses of any performer and the ways in which they would like to approach their unique skill set. We might also begin critiquing and deconstructing recent auditions and performances.
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen students are just getting started it is a fun time to work playful diction activities and drama games to establish a friendly rapport!
Working with teenagersThe most important thing you can offer a teenager when they are developing their artistic skills is taking ownership of their own creative voice through thoughtful questions and engaging participation.
What you need to bringMusikland Studios has a state-of-the-art facilities including pianos for musical theater performers as well as mirrors and private studios for dramatic actors
What I can bringThe only thing required is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn more! It's good to bring a recording device of some kind and a blank notebook to assemble our thoughts.
