Hi, I’m Michael Reda. I hold a computer engineering degree from AUC, but my passion for strategic thinking began at age seven when I learned chess. For eight years, I’ve shared this passion through coaching—spending seven years volunteering with young children and developing clear teaching methods. Building on that foundation, I launched my professional online coaching practice a year ago, helping players systematically master the board.

I’m a competitive chess player with a USCF rating of 1392 and a peak online rating of 1798, placing me in the top 1% of online players. I’ve earned second-place finishes in multiple over-the-board tournaments and enjoy helping beginners and intermediate players improve their tactics, strategy, and confidence. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s pace. Whether you’re learning fundamentals or preparing for competition, I’ll help you reach your goals.
