I teach tennis with a clear, structured approach that makes the game easier to understand. My lessons are active and hands-on, focusing on timing, spacing, and control through consistent repetition. I emphasize simple fundamentals and real ball hitting so players build confidence and improve in actual pointsโnot just drills. Iโve worked with kids, teens, and adults in private lessons, helping players develop consistency and confidence step-by-step. Due to growing interests, availability times have been placed to protect reoccuring students in and out of TeachMe.to for August - December 2026. Currently not taking more students.

Iโm Julia, a 27-year-old tennis coach based in Southington, CT. Up until recently I had been coaching out of Dallas, Tx. Iโve been passionate about the game since I started playing club tennis at age six and continued competing through high school and college, where I played Division 2 tennis. My coaching approach emphasizes breaking down a playerโs game to enhance fundamentals, strategy, and consistency, while also exploring the reasons behind our techniques. With experience coaching at country clubs and having learned from a variety of coaches myself, Iโm excited to build relationships and share my insights with players of all ages.

A lifelong tennis player with a current USTA 5.0 rating, I was a standout junior player, placing second in state, competing in national qualifier tournaments, and winning a club national title at UNC. Transitioning into coaching, I have been the head tennis coach at Lakes High School for the past three years. Our win total has increased each year, from one to four to six wins last year. Before coaching at Lakes, I provided tennis instruction at a country club and a youth sports organization.
