Assess your skills set, through basic shots, shot selection, and some game play to see if I’m going to be a good fit to grow your skills.

Advanced lessons are for players who have a firm grasp of all the fundamentals and are looking to improve a designated skill within the game. The first lesson would include and introduction between coach and student, assessment of current skill level, and tailored instruction to help elevate the student's game. This is typically done by either drilling a new skill or practicing in a way that promotes advantage over opponents while playing to the student's strengths as a player.

What you will need for a lesson: -Pickleball paddle ( I have demo paddles if you haven’t purchased yet) -Comfortable athletic clothing -Hard court tennis shoes (highly recommended), any flat sole sport shoe is a good starting point. Don’t recommend running shoes due to lack of lateral support that makes rolling ankles really easy. -water -hats/sunglasses recommended on sunny days -sunscreen

If we are going to be working out doors and it is a hot day of course sunscreen or a visor and plenty of liquids and potentially a few healthy snacks or a good idea to bring. Your favorite paddle and if you have a specific ball you would like to hit around but I will bring several really good quality outdoor balls and if it is indoors I will bring all of the indoor balls.

Lessons for kids are designed using a constraint-led approach and are conducted based on age of students. Age 8-under will incorporate more appropriate methods for their motor skill level, whereas 9 and older can incorporate more advanced skill learning.

Patience is key. Depending on age, some kids pick up the sport and can progress like any other player. It does usually take slightly longer for kids to develop proper technique and consistency. That being said, it improves hand-eye coordination, control, and is a great form of exercise with relatively low risk of injury when compared to other contact sports.
