"In game instruction, helpful tips

Hi I'm Joshua Tam! I coach focusing on decision-making, consistency and repeatable shots. I am a believer in that defensive techniques like dinking, resetting, blocking are key to a strong pickleball foundation. Just so happens, these are my greatest strengths that have allowed me to do very well in high level games. Whether you're brand new to pickleball or trying to break through a current level plateau (3.0-3.5-4.0), lessons are tailored to your specific needs! My personal tournament results include 2nd place in 4.0. 4th in 4.5, and 2nd place in 5.0 DUPR events.
"I learned a lot about doing things the right way. Appreciate the positives and negatives that coach Joshua pointed out. Would recommend!

The first session is an assessment-based lesson. I evaluate technique, shot selection, footwork, patterns of play, and decision-making under pressure. We identify strengths, inefficiencies, and mental habits that may be limiting performance. I also assess how the player manages stress, momentum shifts, and errors. By the end of the lesson, the player has a clear performance focus and a customized training plan targeting both technical and mental aspects of their game.
