The fundamentals are always where I start my lesson plans, regardless of a students age. Grip, stance, ball position, club face angle and swing path are amongst the most important fundamentals of a solid golf swing! Trying to build a good golf game without these fundamentals is comparable to building a house on a cracked foundation. It might not be right away but somewhere down the line you’re almost guaranteed to encounter problems you wouldn’t otherwise experience. The key with kids is making learning fun. Keeping them engaged and wanting to continue to learn and grow their skills is key. I do this through a mix of games and drills to help hone their skills alongside praise and affirmation when ever it is earned and encouragement every step of the way!
